When Wild Ideas Pop Up and Spark in the Brain.

Do you recognize the feeling when ideas collide in your head, bubbling over, creating a whirlwind? When you wonder about all the inventive, crazy things happening in our brains?
The other day, I had a funny thought flutter into my mind. It popped up out of the blue, whispering softly:
“What about knitting woollen socks?”
“Me, knitting? What a crazy idea,” I thought—and I promptly forgot about it.
Yet, the thought was persistent. It hit me again, causing a little stir: “Knitting socks would be nice.”
I wondered what that fleeting, quirky thought was trying to tell me. So I began to explore the idea behind the idea:
Hello, new thought, where do you come from? What are you trying to tell me?
Are you refreshingly new, or have you been here all along?
What questions do you want me to ask?
What makes you so valuable?
And what should I do with you now?
It was quite an interesting inquiry. One idea was obvious: warm feet. There’s nothing better than self-knitted woollen socks on cold winter evenings. Another idea was about learning—or more precisely, relearning, since I haven’t touched knitting needles in 40 years.
I unlocked another thought: It’s about that cute wool shop in the village. I visited it last winter when my mum stayed with us. I loved the vibe of self-made handicrafts and creativity there. I had no reason to return since I’m not a knitter… yet. Is this a hint, dear thought? Are you suggesting I might join the local community of knitters?
It’s just a thought. I let it fly. It might visit you.
What unusual idea has crossed your mind today? What fresh perspectives did it spark? I’d love to hear about it—tell me in the comments below.
